Celebrate Flag Day at the home of America's most famous flagmaker! The festivities kick-off Sunday, June 8th, the first day of National Flag Week, and continue all week through Sunday, June 15th.
Flag Festival Events and Attractions Include:
• An exhibit of rare historic American flags from the renowned collection of Dr. Jeffrey Kenneth Kohn
• Demonstrations by the Philadelphia Chapter of the American Sewing Guild
• An Old-fashioned Street Fair which will take over Arch St. 10am to 7pm June 14th & 15th
• Giant Post-It Note Flag – Help us as we attempt a World Record!
• Flag Roadshow – Bring your flag finds to be appraised by an expert!
• Flag Retirement – Bring your worn flags to be properly retired!
• Music – Prepare to dance in the streets to the sounds of Art Aiken of the Blue Notes, The Intruders, Paul Green School of Rock and more!
• Arts & Crafts – Enjoy the work of patriotic artists like Scott LoBaido, who painted a flag on a rooftop in all 50 states as part of his Flags Across America project!
• Philadelphia's Official Flag Day Celebration including food, games and much more!
